Training/trial studies as a tax clerk (m/f/d)

My journey at Alpers & Wessel began back in 2014 with my apprenticeship. Even though my path took a different direction in the meantime, on my return I was not only able to build on previous experience, but above all gain valuable new knowledge – day by day. I particularly appreciate the family atmosphere. The opportunity to combine work and family life is very important to me – and that’s exactly what the company allows me to do. I look forward to continuing to be part of this strong team and to continuing my professional development together with Alpers Maack & Wessel.

The past few years – especially the time around Corona – have taught us a lot: about flexibility, responsibility and the value of digital structures. When the team switched to working from home in a very short space of time, I was proud to be part of this development. Our technical preparation proved its worth in this exceptional situation – and we also became noticeably closer as a team on a personal level.

For me personally, it was particularly important to be able to combine caring for my children with work – and at the same time make a contribution to protecting against infection. The fact that this was possible shows me to this day: at Alpers Maack & Wessel, it’s not just performance that counts, but also attitude.

A lateral move into a new industry doesn’t always have to be difficult. Despite initial uncertainties as to whether I was up to it, I am now all the more proud to have taken this step. Helpfulness and support are very important here. Open communication and a perfectly complementary team are part of the daily routine. I look forward to experiencing even more success with Alpers Maack & Wessel.

At Alpers Maack & Wessel, it is possible to combine family and career thanks to flexible part-time models and an understanding team. Even in special situations, such as appointments at short notice, my son is allowed to come into the office with me. I then share the workplace with him while I work and he keeps himself busy. I really appreciate being part of a company that supports individual life models and I’m looking forward to continuing on this path together with Alpers Maack & Wessel.

Even in the first few weeks, I realized that at Alpers Maack & Wessel, it’s not just what you can do that counts – it’s also how you work together. I was quickly able to contribute my expertise, especially with more complex tax returns. At the same time, I was also warmly welcomed as a person. At the summer party, I spontaneously took over the barbecue and the cocktail bar – and was the “barbecue master” of the evening. For me, this is typical of our team: everyone contributes in their own way – professionally and with personality.

I will soon be celebrating my 20th anniversary at Alpers Maack & Wessel – a long time in which I have witnessed many developments. What has kept me here all these years? Quite clearly: working independently, the confidence in my work, my colleagues and the flexibility that the company offers me. Working from home is a great way to combine work and family life. Even after so many years, my heart is still in it and I’m looking forward to the next steps together with Alpers Maack & Wessel.

Since I joined, it has become clear to me that the topic of sustainability is approached ambitiously and holistically at Alpers Maack & Wessel. This applies both to our own work processes and to the advice we provide to our clients. The management is open to new approaches and the team is highly motivated to get involved. Together, we are developing a comprehensive auditing and advisory portfolio for our clients in order to provide them with the best possible support for their sustainability ambitions and to position them optimally for the challenges of the future. For me, Alpers Maack & Wessel is the multiplier for advancing German SMEs in the area of sustainable business.

2025 was a year with two major successes: I both passed my tax consultant exam and got my fishing license. This mixture describes me quite well – ambitious at work, balanced in my free time. As a soccer fan, I also like to bring a bit of dynamism to the team, be it professionally or when chatting during the break. At Alpers Maack & Wessel, I have found the right environment to develop myself further – with a strong team and always an open ear for each other.

After several years in tax administration, Alpers Maack & Wessel was my first employer in the private sector – and the right one. I went straight into a responsible role as a tax consultant in the tax structuring team and quickly found my feet. I regularly give lectures as a sideline, which is great for combining with my day-to-day work. I am also active in sports at Alpers Maack & Wessel – for example in the MOPO relay race or discussing soccer. The mixture of ambition, openness and collegiality makes all the difference – everything just fits together here.
